A few words from the Director of PASNEC:
It was Sir. Winston Churchill who said that “Uganda is the Pearl of Africa” as it is such a beautiful and fertile country with very hospitable and friendly people. King David said in Psalm 139 that “we are fearfully and wonderfully made”. In the Message version of the Bible it says that – “I thank you, High God – You are breath taking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! ……..You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; you know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculptured from nothing into something.”
At PASNEC we believe that our special needs children are NOT “nothings” or “nobodies” as many people think and see them like that. Our children ARE fearfully and wonderfully made by God, like the rest of us. They are SPECIAL and are like PEARLS and deserve to be treated with love, respect and dignity like anybody else should be. We want to focus attention on what the children CAN do rather than on what they cannot. We try to be a “family together” which is why the staff are known as Aunties or Uncles. Our focus is on teaching practical skills to help equip the children for life.
